The Characteristic of Kelingking Beach
Kelingking Beach is also often called as Kelingking Secret Point. The view of blue open sea and the overlay of sand beach can be seen from the top of the cliff.
The cliff that looks like whale jutted to the sea is often called as Karang Dawa Cliff/ Paluang Cliff. Because we cannot pass Paluang Cliff and there is no access to go down, you can see the beautiful panorama of Kelingking Beach from the top of the cliff. Even though, the view from the top of the cliff will not be easy to find in other tourism objects.
Paluang Cliff becomes the beach border cliff between Kelingking Beach in the right and Paluang Beach in the left. Moreover, in the cliff of Paluang Beach, you can visit Paluang Temple or more famed as Car Temple because the pelinggih in this temple is in the form of a car. It is said that, this car pelinggih was built because in the old times, the people surrounding frequently heard the roar of the car and the car horn. Whereas, there was no car there yet.
If you go there, don’t forget to prepare you camera to take pictures with the Karang Dawa Cliff as the background, which is the characteristic of Kelingking Beach. But you must be careful since there is no barrier in the cliff.
The Location and How to Reach Kelingking Beach of Nusa Penida
Kelingking Beach is located in Karang Dawa Hamlet, Bunga Mekar Village, west part of Nusa Penida, Klungkung, Bali. This beach is to the south of Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong tourism objects.
The road to Kelingking Secret Point is about 1.5 hours from Toya Pakeh Port. And about 45 minutes from Nusa Penida Port by the mileage of 25 kilometers. On the way to Kelingking Beach you will be accompanied by the cconut forest and the green hills around.
You don’t have to pay ticket to enter Kelingking Beach a.k.a free. It is suggested that you rent motorbike when visiting this place. You can park the rented motorbike before walking to the edge of the cliff.
